I have always said, “It’s the little things that you remember and that shape your life”. Well, the event that I am going to share with you in some ways could be considered “a little thing”, but to me it is not little, in any sense of the word. This is under Good News for a couple of reasons. First, and most important, because I decided to put it here. Also, it is mainly Good News for me, but I also think that if something similar happened for you, it would fall into the Good News category without question.
The story and event involves my first daughter-in-law… Theresa. I think we loved her from the first day we met her. She has really become one of our daughters. Kathy and I were visiting Robert and Theresa shortly after they were married. It was a day like any other day. Theresa went out and got the mail. She came in and was opening the mail and all of a sudden she was jumping around and was extremely excited and we didn’t know what could have possibly been in the mail to generate this reaction. Obviously, Kathy and I wanted to know what it was. Theresa comes over to us and holds up her driver’s license with her name on it… Theresa Hunsinger. Oh my God. How could something like that cause such a reaction? She was so proud of the license and her new name on it. Kathy and I were extremely proud and realized what an amazing daughter in law we had. Who does that? I remember this like it was yesterday. I will never forget her genuine reaction and how that made Kathy and I feel. This bit of Good News goes out to Theresa who has made Kathy and I, my son Robert and all of her children better for having her in our lives. Love you Theresa.
